Selection Context Tools

When there is an active selection, a set of tools appears on the top edge of the Task-based Tools Menu. These tools apply to the selected items.

Clear Selection Clears the current selection. This tool is useful when there is no blank space in the view to otherwise clear the selection.
Hide Selected Items Removes the selected items from the view. This is temporary and only for the current Navigator session. To make the items visible, go to the Item Display tab from the Status Bar and remove them from the hidden items list.
Grayout Selection Allows you to isolate a specific component in the View. When you select the Grayout selection button, the selected component is displayed in the view, while all the other components display as gray and transparent. This makes the selected element or elements more easily visible. Select the Grayout selection button again to go back to the normal view.
Isolate Selected Items Hides everything but the selected item. This is temporary and only for the current Navigator session. To make all the other items visible, go to the Item Display tab from the Status Bar and remove the isolated items from the isolated items list.
Set Appearance of Selected Items Allows you to override the color and transparency of the selected items. You can enable and control the color and transparency from the tool settings. To accept the appearance change, click with left mouse button or tap in the view. This is temporary and only for the current Navigator session. To remove the overrides, go to the Item Display tab from the Status Bar and remove the appearance changes from the Appearance items list.
